Oyo State governorship candidate of the Accord during the last 11th April election and the former governor of the state, Rashidi Ladoja, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take special interest in the plight of persons Internally Displaced due to Boko Haram sinister activities. Ladoja, who is also the National Leader of the party, said if they were not properly catered for, they would become more vulnerable to exploitation while the youths among them might be recruited by the terrorists. This was contained in a congratulatory message to mark the end of Ramadan Fasting to Muslims and Nigerians in general in which he urged the Federal Government to ensure that victims in camps are properly catered for so as not to become willing pawn to terrorists.

While asking Nigerians to continue to exercise restraints as the Ramadan fasting has made people to behave, Ladoja said the lesson of Ramadan to Nigerians is that when people are committed to change, change is possible.
“If it is possible for people to restrain themselves from sinful ways during the Ramadan Month, it shows commitment and that has implication on our attitude to change.
“If people are committed to change they will change their bad ways. I urge Nigerians to shun bad behaviours, sins and other vices that may hamper growth and development,” he added.
The former governor also urged close supervision of resources getting to all tiers of government to ensure that the masses do not become the victim of mis-governance.
He called on political office holders to ensure that they shun ostentatious lives and deliver on their electoral promises with a view to entering trust in governance.
Ladoja who is at the Governorship Petition Tribunal challenging the victory of governor Abiola Ajimobi then tasked the people of Oyo State to pray for peace, expressing optimism of light at the end of the tunnel.
